Visit Us & Participate

BLES is proud to be an environment focused on the welfare and treatment of our elephants.

Our guests are happy to come and simply observe the elephants be elephants.

Every day at BLES is an adventure, an experience like no other. We have a world-renowned approach to ethical elephant tourism.

Guests share in all aspects of the elephants’ world at BLES. It is a participative experience that includes gathering their food, walking with them to release sites and observing them relearn their natural instincts in an environment that promotes their welfare. As a self-sustaining environment, there are endless tasks that need to be done. The needs of our animals are unpredictable, so our days are never exactly the same. In addition to caring for our own rescued elephants and animals, we are very involved in local village life. Our assistance is often required in caring for elephants whose owners do not have adequate resources.

We intentionally keep our guest numbers low to benefit the elephants as well as our visitors. Both parties enjoy the peace and unique moments that organically happen because we are able to provide an extremely low stress environment for our elephants. We are happy to not approach our elephants and physically show them love. We believe our elephants deserve to have the right to make their own choices. Our mahouts are all village locals with years of experience with elephants. They love and care for their elephants like family members and are all extremely skilled at elephant management with only using voice commands.

Our small size means that we are grateful for every helping hand. Guests who want to get involved make a huge difference in our daily operations. Every guest at BLES helps us to be viable and continue our much needed work.
